Kristie, the owner, has spent more than 17 years grooming animals of all kinds. Her love of animals began with her grandfather, whose presence attracted animals, and she grew up rescuing every animal she could before turning that passion into a career. K-9 Bliss employs highly skilled groomers and bathers, and the goal is for owners to feel they are leaving their dog or cat with a trusted friend. Groomers follow owner instructions, and the approach to each pet relies on positive reinforcement, treats, and a calm, gentle manner. The business notes that regular grooming helps prevent skin problems such as hot spots and mats and can help detect potential health issues early.

The business is located on Great East Neck Rd in Bay Shore.

Customers describe the staff as smiling, respectful, and caring toward both owners and dogs, and one reviewer notes a groomer asked what hairstyle was wanted for their dog. Another writes of finally finding a go-to groomer after a recent cut left a 14-year-old dog looking like a puppy, and a third mentions that a dog with weak hips was handled well.
