Country Valley Veterinary Clinic

Country Valley Veterinary Clinic is a veterinarian in Amsterdam, NY. Independently owned and operated since 2010, it is the only non-corporate veterinary hospital in the area, serving dogs, cats and other companion animals. The practice offers surgery, dentistry, urgent care, internal medicine, dermatology and ultrasound. It holds a rating of 4.70 from the customers who have reviewed it.

The clinic's surgical suite uses monitoring equipment that tracks each patient's electrocardiogram, temperature, pulse, respiration, oxygen saturation, carbon dioxide and blood pressure, and licensed veterinary technicians monitor those parameters in every surgery. Digital dental x-ray supports its dentistry work, which addresses the dental disease common in companion animals, including the foul odor, decay, reddened or swollen gums and loose teeth that signal it, along with the hiding, reduced grooming, decreased affection, pawing at the mouth and drooling that pets often show instead of obvious pain.

Dr. Crystal C. Murray is the practice owner and hospital owner, a Cornell veterinary graduate of 1996 who moved from New Jersey to Upstate New York in 2006 and opened the clinic in 2010. Her professional interests include urgent care, internal medicine, dermatology and ultrasound. She is joined by associate veterinarians Stacey Bunting, Stephanie Rogers, Kelly Spence and Katelyn Pugliese. The clinic keeps extended weekday hours, opening at 8:00 AM Monday through Saturday, staying open until 7:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and closing at 1:00 PM Saturday, with a daily lunch closure from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

The clinic sits on NY-30, about 0.2 miles from the WBUG-AM tower and roughly 0.6 miles from South Chuctanunda Creek and State Highway 30. Minaville Road is about 0.8 miles away, State Highway 161 about 0.9 miles, and Florida Hills about a mile from the practice.

As the area's only non-corporate veterinary hospital, Country Valley pairs independent local ownership with advanced surgical and dental capabilities for Amsterdam pet owners.
