Camelot Party Rentals began in 1989 when founder Sharon Dumke started the business out of a backyard shed in Sparks, Nevada. With just a few tables and chairs, she provided quality rental services with a personal touch. As demand grew, the operation evolved into a leading event rental company. The team expanded and the inventory multiplied, leading to a move into a 30,000-square-foot facility. In 1994, Douglas Barrera joined the team and became a trusted staff member. When a flood threatened the company in 2005, he worked tirelessly to save the inventory.

In 2007, Douglas and four fellow employees purchased Camelot Party Rentals together. Douglas became the sole owner in 2019 after his partners moved on to pursue other opportunities. Today, he continues to lead the company with the commitment and integrity established by Sharon. The business serves clients across the Reno-Tahoe region, helping create thousands of memorable experiences for weddings, corporate events, festivals, and private celebrations.
