Little Earth School

Little Earth School is a preschool in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It serves early childhood students and elementary grades, with preschool classrooms and a 1st-3rd grade elementary classroom, and limited availability in its 1st-6th grade elementary classrooms for the 2026-27 school year. Enrollment begins with an application for enrollment and release of records, which places a child on the waitlist; families are then contacted to schedule a tour or attend an open house, and children must visit at least once. The school's director, Carolyn Brandi, meets with families, and prospective teachers meet with parents and the child. Tuition is payable over 10 months beginning August 1, with a discount for payment in full and a 10% discount on a younger sibling's tuition. Financial aid is available, and afterschool is billed at a monthly full-time rate or daily depending on hours used. Education, Discovery and Celebration are the cornerstones of the learning process at Little Earth School. The early childhood program is developmentally appropriate to the needs of young children, and the academic program integrates visual and performing arts, storytelling, Spanish and music. Teachers build on children's curiosity and emphasize the process of finding an answer rather than memorization and testing. The school does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, color, religion or national or ethnic origin in its admission policies, educational policies, hiring practices, financial aid or other school-administered programs. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Little Earth School sits on W Zia Rd, about 0.3 miles from Brother Edward de Reina Park and Arroyo en Medio, and roughly 0.4 miles from Saint Michael's High School and Christus Saint Vincent Regional Cancer Center. Families in Santa Fe looking for a preschool that pairs a strong academic program with art, music, Spanish and daily time outdoors will find that combination at Little Earth School on W Zia Rd.
