The center's philosophy centers on helping children develop a positive self-image. Children are encouraged to be self-directed and to show self-control, and the approach is built on principles that strengthen individual esteem while avoiding shaming practices. Order and discipline are handled through close supervision, gentle guidance, and redirection, with a brief timeout used only when a child becomes unmanageable and never overused. Consistency between parent and teacher is treated as a necessary tool for correcting negative behavior, and the center describes working together as a partnership as a benefit to a child struggling with the pressure of school and everyday life. Care for children is described as prioritizing each child's well-being and holistic development, with personalized care tailored to each child's needs and a focus on physical, emotional, and intellectual growth. The center also marks occasions such as Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Labor Day, and pre-K graduation.

The center sits on East 1st Street, about a third of a mile from South Scenic Drive and East 1st Street, and roughly half a mile from Scenic Batting Cages.
