TJD Engineering Associates Inc

TJD Engineering Associates Inc is a business consultant in West Milford, NJ, providing engineering consulting and design across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection disciplines. The firm was established in 1992 by three principals, Thomas C. Tamayne, P.E., John Lucas, and Donald Barone, with the goal of offering more complete service capabilities to clients without the profit responsibility that comes with outside ownership. Their work spans the greater NY tri-state area and covers projects in commercial, education, government, healthcare, industrial, retail, and specialty sectors, ranging from new construction to renovation of existing facilities. The firm holds a 5.00 rating based on publicly available reviews.

The firm's service approach centers on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression engineering, along with construction administration for projects on which they have provided design services. They maintain a roster of outsourcing personnel used as needed to meet client demands that extend beyond in-house capabilities. The founders drew on earlier experience in which projects sometimes could not be completed once billable hours were consumed, and they structured the firm to deliver the required client service without those profitability constraints. Following the passing of John Lucas, the firm continues to provide design services, with electrical engineering work subcontracted as required. The firm has served clients in commercial, education, government, healthcare, industrial, retail, and specialty markets.

The office sits on Hancock Drive, roughly a third of a mile from town-owned park property and town-owned public land, about half a mile from Lindy Lake and Upper Mount Glen Lake, and within three-quarters of a mile of Westbrook Elementary School and Macopin Middle School.

Their perfect customer rating reflects the consistency and thoroughness of the firm's design and consulting work across more than three decades of practice in the tri-state area.
