Dil's Driving School is a school in Somerville, NJ. The business provides driving training for students of all ages and capabilities, ranging from teens to seniors, to assist in obtaining a driver's license. It serves Somerset, Hunterdon, and Middlesex Counties of New Jersey. The school holds a 4.40 rating based on 39 reviews.

Founded by Heinz Neumaier in 2009, Dil’s Driving School offers flexible, full-service driving training seven days a week, including evenings. Instructors provide pick-up and drop-off services from a student’s home, school, or workplace. Training is conducted one-on-one, with parents or guardians welcome to accompany young students. The fleet consists of modern, dual-controlled 4-door hybrid Toyota Camry sedans that are maintained in good and safe condition.

The curriculum covers vehicle functions, safety equipment, and steering in closed areas before moving to local roads. Students progress through suburban settings, busier towns, and highways, learning maneuvers such as parallel parking, k-turns, and traffic circles. Instruction includes defensive driving with awareness of current road conditions. Students are not advanced to the next level until the instructors feel they are ready. The school provides licensed instructors who are friendly and patient, aiming to thoroughly prepare students for safe road use.

For 16-year-old students, the school provides a mandatory six-hour driver training program broken into three two-hour sessions with the same licensed instructor. This service includes pre-test preparation, administration of the NJ MVC 50-question written test, and the required vision screening exam for the NJ Student Learners Permit. The school also offers road test services for both new and current students. Lessons between one and ten hours can be provided depending on the requirements of the student.

Dil's Driving School maintains a solid reputation among the customers it has served and a steady record of repeat and referred customers. The business combines its structured, patient approach to driver education with convenient scheduling, making it a reliable choice for Somerville and surrounding New Jersey communities seeking to prepare new drivers for the road.
