Team K Taekwondo

Team K Taekwondo is a martial arts school in Oakland, NJ. The school runs age-divided programs including Little Tigers for kids ages 4 to 6, a Children Class for ages 6 to 12, and a Black Belt Class for students holding a first-degree rank or higher. Classes focus on developing focus, discipline, confidence, respect, perseverance, and physical coordination. The school holds a 5.00 rating.

The school was built around a community-oriented approach to Taekwondo, pairing rigorous physical training with character development. Grandmaster Jaegwan Kim, who brings years of experience in training, competition, and instruction, leads the program with a structured curriculum and an emphasis on mutual support among students. Advanced students can join the Demonstration Team and the Forms Team, and many members represent Team K at local and regional competitions. The school describes itself as a place where students of any age or experience level can find a dedicated place to train.

The school sits on Ramapo Valley Road, with the Oakland Post Office, the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission, and the Department of Motor Vehicles each about a tenth of a mile away. Ramapo Plaza and the Oakland Shopping Center are also nearby.

Team K's 5.00 rating reflects steady approval from the families and students who have trained there, and the school has grown from a small group of students into a broader martial arts community serving Oakland and the surrounding area.
