Family owned and operated since 1918, Gorkin Glass is now in its fourth generation, with owner Bill Schultz overseeing every phase of each project. The company operates from a full service facility supported by a fleet of five trucks, handling architectural design, field measuring, custom in house fabrication, and precise installation through its own crew of craftsmen. Each project is uniquely engineered to the customer's vision and budget, and the team coordinates with contractors, property management companies, architects, decorators, and homeowners. The company carries a complete line of shower doors in every shape, size, and finish, including its own extensive line of heavy glass frameless enclosures.

The shop sits on Race Street, about a tenth of a mile from the North Plainfield Municipal Building and Somerset Elementary School, with Watchung Avenue and Somerset Street within easy reach and Green Brook a short distance away. Showroom hours run Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, with extended Thursday hours to 5:30pm, and the counter is open the first and third Saturday of each month from 8am to noon.

A century of continuous, family led craftsmanship under the same North Plainfield name has made Gorkin Glass a fixture of the local glass trade.
