The shop opened its doors in 1993 after founders Kathie and Vinny Colella moved to Portsmouth from Manhattan. Kathie, a horticultural and floral designer for private clientele, met Vinny, a second-generation wholesaler whose father had worked in the New York City flower market for over 50 years. Vinny’s father immigrated from Italy, establishing a family tradition in the flower trade. The couple began the business while raising their two daughters. Kathie continues to design arrangements, and Vinny still hand-picks the flowers. The team delivers fresh flowers up and down the Seacoast in a signature green van.

Jardiniere Flowers has been honored as the Seacoast’s Best Flower Shop for 31 years in a row, and received the award for the Seacoast’s Best Customer Service for 13 years. They work with all area funeral homes and houses of worship for tributes. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. They are closed on Sundays. Gift cards are available for in-store pickup or local delivery and are redeemable for any products.

The high rating and long-standing recognition as the Seacoast’s Best Flower Shop reflect the trust the community places in the Colella family’s floral artistry and service.
