Mountain Brook Vineyards

Mountain Brook Vineyards is a winery in Tryon, NC, located at 731 Phillips Dairy Rd. The estate features two destinations: a vineyard nestled in the Tryon Foothills and a tasting room on Emerald Isle. Owned by Vickie and Jonathan Redgrave, the business offers wine tastings, tours, and a wine club community. The vineyard was originally planted in 2002 and opened to the public in 2013. The Redgraves acquired the property in 2018 after relocating to Western North Carolina. They have since modernized and expanded the operation with the help of viticulturist Kelly Maher and winemaker David Coventry. Coventry, a native of Monterey, California, previously worked at Chalone Vineyards, Morgan, and Talbott. In 2005, two of his wines ranked in the top 10 wines of the year in Wine & Spirits magazine, and he was the only Monterey winemaker to make the top 100 wines list in Wine Spectator magazine that year. The winery produces a range of varietals including Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Albariño, and Petit Manseng. Exclusive wines such as the 2021 Allin, 2024 Belle, and 2024 Wooden Steel are available in tasting rooms and online. Events at the estate include live music, food trucks, outdoor movies, yoga, and cooking classes. A yellow Labrador named Cooper, the namesake of Club Cooper, is also part of the estate.

The Tryon location sits on Phillips Dairy Rd, about 0.3 miles from Mill Creek and 0.9 miles from Green Creek. It is approximately 2.3 miles from Greens Creek School and 2.6 miles from Green Creek Fire Rescue. The International Stadium and Tryon Stadium are both located roughly 2.7 to 2.8 miles away.

Mountain Brook Vineyards holds a rating of 4.80 based on 416 reviews. This consistent high rating reflects a strong local reputation and an established track record built on a large base of customer feedback. The combination of award-winning winemaking expertise and family-owned hospitality defines its standing among wineries in the region.
