Morganton Animal Clinic has been part of the Burke County community for over 53 years. The clinic was founded by Dr. Don Hemstreet in 1972, with Dr. Sam Pearson joining as a partner a few years later. Together they built the practice into a place where patients and clients felt like family. Dr. Wendy Callahan was hired in 2006, ushering in a new era for the clinic, and she purchased it from Drs. Hemstreet and Pearson in 2010. The current team includes patient care specialists Sherri, who joined in 2019, and Kelly, who joined in 2022, along with surgical assistants including lead surgical assistant Kasey, who joined in 2023 and has worked in the veterinary field since June 2021.
