Appalachian Movers Transport

Appalachian Movers Transport is a Moving Company in Henderson, NC, located at 1034 Old Mill Rd. The firm provides residential, commercial, and industrial moving services and is licensed to operate across 48 states and the continental United States. Since 2004, the company has handled local and long-distance relocations from Western North Carolina to anywhere in the country, serving customers in Asheville and Hendersonville, NC, and beyond. Offerings include full packing and moving for households, office relocation, auto moving, and less-than-truckload freight services, with three trucks and equipment capable of carrying up to 8,500 pounds of cargo per truck. The company holds a rating of 4.40 based on customer reviews.

The team works with both ramp and lift gate services and unloads freight by hand or by pallet. They take extra care with fragile items, often wrapping them in blankets, and operate air ride equipment to protect cargo in transit. The company accepts projects as small as a single item, including studio apartments and retirement residence moves, and also handles large industrial relocations. They do not move mobile homes, trailers, or campers. Expedited service is available for time-sensitive moves.

Owner Doug Carpenter and his crew are known for inspecting furniture in person rather than working from phone lists, and for staying in touch with clients throughout the move. Customers note that the team is respectful, on time, and efficient, with one reviewer reporting they provided the lowest estimate among competing movers. The company accommodates unplanned tasks at reasonable costs and is entrusted with house and carport keys during moves. Staff are described as careful with belongings, delivering items in the same condition they left in, and not adding unexpected charges.

Drawing on nearly two decades of service in the region, Appalachian Movers Transport brings hands-on, careful moving expertise to Henderson and Western North Carolina.
