He had previously worked with his father-in-law, who hand built upholstered rockers and chairs in Hickory, North Carolina. His son Paul Crotts now manages the store, and the six-member organization includes family members and a step-son. One employee, Bob Marshall, has worked there for more than 35 years. Graham Furniture Mart has spent 75 years in downtown Graham serving four generations of customers, and has been a La-Z-Boy dealer for 35 years, operating a large La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio gallery featuring micro suede, leather, and fleece upholstery. The store is the exclusive La-Z-Boy distributor of Alamance County.

The store sits on Southwest Court Square in downtown Graham, steps from the Historic Alamance County Courthouse and the Alamance County Offices. The Graham Historical Museum and the Love Graham public artwork are both about a tenth of a mile away.
