After initial challenges with vinifera and French Hybrid grapes, the Cloers replanted with muscadines, which thrived in the region. The winery is housed in a traditional red barn with a green tin roof and is the only family-owned farm in the immediate Triangle area that grows its own grapes and produces its own wines on-site. The entire Cloer family is involved in the process, with Tam managing the vineyard and Pam and their daughters, Taylor and Ashley, assisting with harvesting, bottling, labeling, marketing, and sales.
