Netvoice has been a family-owned "sound" company for 40 years. Founded in 1973 by grad students Jerry and Jean Jordan, the business began when the couple duplicated cassettes of concerts at the University of Illinois and sold them to the performers to pay their way through college. In the early eighties, while working as professors at the University of Mississippi, they expanded into old-time radio show duplication and sales and acquired the local answering service that had been taking their orders over 800-number lines. In 1986 the company moved into time, temperature, and weather forecast announcements, then added telephone banking in 1994. The Jordans expanded the offering nationwide, becoming the preferred telephone banking vendor for several core software providers. In 2005 they acquired an ISP and added internet and telephone services to the business. A new 5,000 square-foot headquarters was built in 2007, and Jerry and Jean have remained the sole owners throughout. The family, including children Josh, Jenner, and Jacob, continues to run the operation today.

The office sits on Heritage Drive, less than half a mile from Jackson Avenue West, with Oxford Fire Station #4 about four-tenths of a mile away. Price Hill Park is roughly half a mile from the building, and the Blackburn-McMurray Intramural Fields and Disc Golf Course are about six-tenths of a mile off.

With four decades of continuous operation and a nationwide network built from a Mississippi headquarters, Netvoice Inc brings longstanding family ownership to telephone information services for community banks and local audiences throughout the country.
