McClendon Medical Clinic of Gulf Hills is a medical practice in Gulf Hills, MS, located at 22C Doctor's Drive. Before founding McClendon Medical in Ocean Springs, Dr. McClendon served as a hospital-based physician with Singing River Health Systems and later as Director of Hospital Physicians at Merit Health Biloxi. He has held several leadership posts in the region, including Chief of Medicine at Ocean Springs Hospital in 2012-2013, Chief of Medicine at Biloxi Regional Medical Center in 2014, member of the Merit Health Biloxi Board of Trustees, and current VP of the Mississippi Board of Licensure. The clinical team also includes nurse practitioner Elizabeth Brushaber, a Pascagoula native who earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing from the University of South Alabama and previously worked in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit. The practice accepts a wide range of insurance plans, including Aetna, Ambetter, BCBS, Cigna Commercial, Huntington Ingalls, Lockard and Williams, Magnolia, Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage (with the exception of Cigna HealthSprings), Humana Commercial, Tricare and UnitedHealthcare, and will see patients with other plans as a courtesy.
