Owned by Vance Cochran, this family-owned and family-run business has been building custom gunite pools and spas on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1985. They design and construct every project in-house, handling everything from initial design to final build without subcontractors. The company serves the region from state line to state line, including Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Gulfport, Pascagoula, D'Iberville, Vancleave, Moss Point, Gautier, Hurley, and Wade. Their expertise centers on engineering shells for the Coast's high water table, utilizing groundwater control, hydrostatic relief, and dewatering techniques. Services include custom-designed gunite pools, integrated or standalone spas, resurfacing, tile and coping upgrades, equipment refreshes, and structural repairs. They also supply chemicals, accessories, and special-order products to keep pools running long after handover.

The construction process begins with a site evaluation of access and terrain, followed by design development involving material samples, scaled drawings, and renderings. Cochran Pools handles building permit applications, HOA approvals, and utility marking via 811. They are an approved builder with industry financing companies. Construction phases include site preparation, excavation, and steel reinforcement using more rebar than code requires. The team roughs in plumbing for drains, returns, and lights, bonding all exposed metallic items per electrical code. Gunite is applied to form the monolithic shell, followed by proper hydration during curing. The team then installs waterline tile and coping, trenches for plumbing and conduit, and pressure tests lines before backfilling. Deck work includes wire mesh, rebar, and bonding. Clients receive clear communication through group texts during construction.

Cochran Pools Inc combines decades of local expertise with a complete in-house team to deliver durable, custom gunite pools tailored to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Their commitment to engineering for high water tables and maintaining transparent communication ensures quality work from start to finish.
