David L. Pittman, Jr. is the owner and solo professional photographer, hailing from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. His affinity for photography began in the 1990s with point-and-shoot and disposable cameras, initially treating it as a pastime. In 2007, he received a point-and-shoot camera that he used constantly, but unfortunate circumstances led to the loss of the device and its contents. Between 2007 and 2018, various situations placed him in the role of the "picture man," reinforcing his desire to become a professional photographer. Lacking the finances and time for formal schooling, he devised a self-taught plan, observing professionals online, watching countless videos, and practicing extensively to improve his skills.

Despite criticism and the challenges of not having formal education or business experience, Mr. Pittman legally established DP Photography LLC and opened his first studio in February 2019. The business survived the pandemic and, in less than five years, moved into a much larger space. The studio serves clients seeking professional event photography, explicitly noting that event services do not include weddings, which are offered separately.

The business is recognized for a positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it, reflecting the quality of its professional photography services.
