Greenscape Gardens

Greenscape Gardens is a landscaping and garden center in Manchester, Missouri. The business sells plants and related goods, including zone-hardy trees and shrubs, perennials, natives, edibles, house plants, annuals and tropicals, and pottery, along with seasonal Grab-n-Go Porch Pots. A curbside delivery service is offered on weekdays, with cost calculated by distance. Hours run Monday through Saturday 9 to 4 and Sunday 10 to 4, with gates closing fifteen minutes before posted closing times and adjusted closings during heat advisories and warnings. The garden center holds a rating of 4.80.

The business traces back to the early 1970s, when John and Sally Loyet founded J&S Lawn Service with a single mower and a hand trimmer. By the mid-1980s the company had grown into one of the larger lawn and tree care operations in the St. Louis area under the name Greenscape Lawns. In 1994 the family purchased the former Treeland Nursery property, sold the lawn and tree care division, and rebuilt the site at the corner of Dougherty Ferry and Barrett Station Road as a full-service garden center focused on connecting people with the natural world. Greenscape guarantees its plants to be true to name, healthy, and free of disease and insects, and offers a one-time 50 percent store credit on zone-hardy trees and shrubs for up to six months from purchase, extended to a year when root stimulator is bought with the plant.

The property sits on Barrett Station Road, where it intersects with Dougherty Ferry Road. The National Museum of Transportation is roughly four tenths of a mile away, and Phantom Forest Conservation Area lies about half a mile from the property.

Decades of operation in the St. Louis area and a customer rating of 4.80 reflect the kind of reputation Greenscape Gardens has built as a plant retailer in Manchester.
