Joseph and Dorothy Faraci started the restaurant in 1968 in a simple three-table dining room at the corner of Suburban and South Florissant Road in Ferguson. Joseph Faraci, born in 1940 and passed away in 2013, helped establish a tradition of doing everything by hand and from scratch. After thirteen years at that location, the couple purchased their own building on South Florissant Road, which seated approximately 20 people. The kitchen prepares sauce from scratch, makes house-made dough, uses Nonna’s meat recipe, and hand-slices Provel cheese.

The family continued to grow with the addition of sons Pete and Vince. In 1998, Joseph and Dorothy retired and sold the Ferguson location. Pete joined his brother Vince in Ellisville, Missouri, in St. Louis County, where Vince had opened a separate place seating approximately 100 people. Mrs. Faraci continues to help out occasionally in Ellisville with her sons and grandchildren. The restaurant maintains its original standard, stating that a pizza made today is identical to one made in 1968.

The menu features specialty pizzas including the Faraci Special, Vegetable Special, Nonna's Meatball Pizza, Pollo Caldo, and shrimp pizza. Customers can build their own pizzas with toppings such as cheese, Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, hamburger, Italian Genoa salami, Canadian bacon, chicken, anchovy, shrimp, fresh tomato, onion, mushroom, black olive, ham, fresh garlic, green pepper, jalapeño pepper, banana pepper, and pineapple. Sides include toasted ravioli and salads like the Chef Salad and Dinner Salad, both topped with homemade Italian dressing. A 9-inch luncheon pizza is served Monday through Friday from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm.
