Schram Vineyards Winery & Brewery of Minnetonka

Schram Vineyards Winery & Brewery of Minnetonka is a winery in Minnetonka, MN. The estate is a 32-acre destination in Waconia, located just outside the Twin Cities, where handcrafted wine, craft beer, and dining converge. The property features 10 acres of cold-hardy grapes grown and harvested on-site, overlooking Reitz Lake. Guests participate in wine tastings, flights, and craft cocktail sessions, while dining options include wine-pairing dishes, brick-oven pizzas, and shareables. The venue hosts live music every weekend, seasonal events, and year-round gatherings.

The winery began in 2006 when Aaron and Ashley met and shared a vision for a vineyard. In 2008, they purchased the Waconia property, chosen for its south-facing hillside and lake views. Over the following five years, they planted thousands of vines, constructed the winery, and raised their family. The business opened to the public in 2013. In 2014, it became the first singly owned and operated winery and brewery in Minnesota. The brewery later expanded into its own space, now operating as Bonfire & Barrel, which serves house-brewed beer, signature cocktails, and a full menu of brunch, dinner, and shareables. The Vineyard Lodge, the original building, offers counter-service ordering for food and drinks.

The business holds a rating of 4.60 based on customer reviews. It has been voted Minnesota's Best Winery by Star Tribune Reader's Choice readers in 2022, 2024, 2025, and 2026. Handcrafted wines have earned Gold Medals at the San Francisco Chronicle and International Cold Climate Wine Competitions. The estate is also named a Best of the Twin Cities winery by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. Membership programs provide curated releases, priority access to new wines, exclusive events, and member-only pricing for those who wish to stay connected to the vineyard's seasonal offerings.

Schram Vineyards stands as a distinctive winery and brewery experience in Minnetonka, combining estate-grown grapes, craft brewing, and dining in a single location just west of the Twin Cities.
