Acacia Architects

Acacia Architects is an architect in Golden Valley, Minnesota, serving homeowners with architectural design for new homes and kitchen and bath remodels in existing homes. The practice also takes on cabins and specialty outbuildings, including detached garage studios, accessory dwelling units, and saunas. Projects range from large to small, and the work covers full architectural design as well as more limited levels of service.

Beyond full design, Acacia Architects offers master planning, which puts all of a homeowner's remodeling ideas on one plan set so a project can be prioritized and divided into separate construction phases, letting contractors develop separate cost estimates for each phase and plan for future work without duplicating effort. Schematic design is treated as the most critical part of the process, exploring design options to maximize a project's potential even when no further services are wanted. A concise permit set can also be provided with just enough information to pull a permit and begin construction, leaving cabinetry elevations, material and fixture selections, and similar details to the homeowner or builder.

The portfolio includes new homes and remodels across the Twin Cities area, among them lakeside and lake homes, cabins, a rambler, a second-story addition, kitchen and bath projects, an attic suite, a garage music studio, a Tudor porch, an accessible suite, and a backyard sauna.

The office sits on Ridgeway Rd, about 0.2 miles from Lions Park, 0.3 miles from Olson Memorial Highway, and roughly the same distance from Spirit of Hope Church Pond, Western Avenue Marsh, and West Ring Pond. The United States Post Office is about half a mile away.
