The academy is founded on a personalized approach rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum, shaped by fifteen years of experience in music education. Its staff includes instructors who actively perform, compose, and stay current in their field, and lessons are built around each student's interests and strengths. Students work on technique, rhythm, music theory, and performance, with optional recitals and showcases held throughout the year. The academy serves young beginners, middle and high school students in band, orchestra, or choir, students preparing for auditions and competitions, adult beginners, and hobbyists. Noteworthy Music Academy is locally owned rather than a franchise, and its owner is on site every day. The studio is housed in a converted former art gallery that has been designed as a professional, artistic space for focus and creativity. Hours run Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The academy sits on Northwestern Highway, near its intersection with Orchard Lake Road, and is part of a corridor that includes Jacobs Drain and Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum about 0.3 to 0.4 miles away.

A locally owned studio run by a hands-on owner, Noteworthy Music Academy brings a personalized, mentor-led approach to music education in West Bloomfield.
