Carpet mills generally recommend professional cleaning every 12 to 18 months, and Xcel works to remove up to 98% of dirt and allergens from carpet fibers. Its service area includes Auburn Hills, Birmingham, Clarkston, Commerce, Highland, Keego Harbor, Milford, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Troy, Walled Lake, Waterford, and White Lake. Beyond carpets, the team cleans upholstered furniture such as couches, love seats, and sofas, where food crumbs, spills, pet dander, and dust can accumulate over time. Area rug cleaning is also offered to extend the lifespan of rugs that are often overlooked during routine cleaning. A limited-time promotion takes 35% off upholstery cleaning when at least three rooms of carpet are cleaned.

The business is located on Cove View Drive, about a third of a mile from Pleasant Lake Overlook, roughly half a mile from Pleasant Lake, and around 0.7 miles from Waterford Township Fire Station No. 5.
