Viviano Flower Shop of St. Clair Shores

Viviano Flower Shop of St. Clair Shores is a florist in St. Clair Shores, MI. The family-owned shop has served Metro Detroit since 1937, with locations in Rochester, Shelby, Chesterfield, and Grosse Pointe alongside its St. Clair Shores store. It handles fresh-cut flower bouquets, houseplants, sympathy arrangements, and DIY floral design, with same-day delivery available across the area. The shop holds a rating of 4.80. The business traces back to 1937, when Frank P. Viviano and his wife Elizabeth opened a small eponymous flower shop on the corner of Forest and Cadillac in Detroit, just around the corner from their family's home. Frank used a cigar box for a cash drawer, and during the gas rationing of World War II he delivered floral arrangements on Detroit city buses. The original shop largely served the Italian families of the neighborhood. After the war, Frank purchased farm property in rural St. Clair Shores, planning to grow kitchen vegetables for his family of eight children. In 1943, he was approached about purchasing a glass greenhouse that had been built in 1914 by the Lutton Company of Madison, New Jersey for the Emory L. Ford estate in Grosse Pointe. The estate was being dismantled and the land sold for redevelopment. The current offerings include seasonal bouquets such as Duchess, Simply Sunflowers, Hydrangea Harmony, Cheerful, Morning Joy, Watercolor Garden, and Raspberry Trifle, along with houseplants like Boston Fern. The shop sits on Harper Avenue, about a third of a mile from Masonic Heights Elementary School and Avon School, roughly two-fifths of a mile from Kyte Monroe Park, and less than a mile from the Ford Freeway. With five locations across Metro Detroit and a business history that spans back to the Depression era, Viviano Flower Shop brings more than eighty-five years of family experience to floral work in St. Clair Shores.
