Life Driving Academy - Novi High School is a Driving School in Novi, MI, located at 24062 Taft Rd Room 100. It provides comprehensive driver education for teenagers and adults, guiding students through the Michigan licensing process from initial classroom instruction to the final driving test. The academy offers specialized programs for students with ADHD, Autism, or other special challenges, conducted in small group settings that include dedicated parent orientation sessions. Services extend to mock driving tests, written assessments, and one-on-one instruction for those over eighteen or new to Michigan seeking a license.

The curriculum is structured around the state’s tiered licensing system, requiring students to complete specific hours before advancing. Segment 1 includes 24 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving, and 4 hours of observation time. Students must hold a Level 1 Learner’s License for at least six months and complete 50 hours of driving, including 10 at night, before taking the driving test. Segment 2 is a three-day class that prepares students for their final exam. The academy utilizes white Jeep Wranglers equipped with a seven-camera system to monitor surroundings and ensure safety. These four-wheel-drive vehicles are maintained to be clean and sanitized, allowing for consistent instruction throughout the year. Instructors are selected through a rigorous interview process designed to foster strong rapport with students, and the program encourages law enforcement participation to provide real-world perspectives on road safety.

The academy operates in partnership with several local high schools, including Canton Prep, Plymouth, Salem, University of Detroit Jesuit, and Churchill High Schools, often holding classes on campus or at its office in Plymouth. The program emphasizes a supportive environment where parents are actively involved, particularly during the initial orientation hours. By incorporating feedback from parents and students, the academy aims to refine its teaching methods and vehicle choices, focusing on creating a positive and effective learning experience for new drivers.
