Leiter's Country Kennel

Leiter's Country Kennel is a pet boarding facility in Mt. Pleasant, MI. The family owned and operated kennel, also known as Leiter's Country Pet Boarding, has been boarding dogs, cats, and other small animals since 2012 on 30 acres in Elwell, Michigan. They serve pets of all sizes, with temperature-controlled kennels for small to extra-large dogs and separate accommodations available for cats and other small animals.

The facility sits on roughly 30 acres and includes large fenced play areas where dogs spend most of their stay outdoors. Specially designed music is played throughout the kennel to keep boarded pets relaxed, and doggie pools are available for dogs to cool off during hot summer days. Potty breaks are scheduled every two hours from 6am to 10pm, and each dog receives play time in both the morning and afternoon with an assistant or a member of the family. Drop off and pick up times are set from 8:00 to 9:30am and 4:00 to 6:00pm. Required vaccinations for dogs include Lepto, Rabies, Bordetella, and DA2LPP, while cats must be current on Rabies and Feline Leukemia.
