SBOY LLC was created in 2001. The owner, David Woods, started by selling blank T-shirts inside his father's dollar store, SOULTOWN, on Tireman Street in Detroit, after noticing that print companies were concentrated in suburban areas and small mall stations. He researched and studied how to operate a print company, and in 2012 SBOY LLC was registered with the State of Michigan. The business continues to grow and expand within the print, graphic and media industry.

Each purchase supports the Enjoy Detroit mission to serve, creating community partners through purposeful print experiences. Clients describe the business as professional, respectful and Black owned, with staff who are easy to work with and who make sure they can please customers in the services they offer. Others note quality products, excellent customer service, exceptional response time and strong relationship building, including filling an order in a pinch.

The shop sits on Woodward Ave, steps from Woodward Avenue itself and about 55 metres from the Considine Little Rock Recreation Center. Northern Annex and the Detroit International Academy for Young Women / Detroit Northern High School are both roughly 0.1 miles away, as are The Family Place and the Institute for Population Health.

SBOY LLC has built two decades of printing, design and media work in Detroit, growing from a single T-shirt table into a Woodward Avenue print shop that Detroit clients turn to for everything from business cards to album covers.
