Quality Foreign Car Service

Quality Foreign Car Service is an auto repair shop in Berkley, Michigan. It handles preventive maintenance such as oil and filter changes, chassis lubrication, tire rotation, wheel balancing and alignment, and it works on brakes, exhaust systems, mufflers, suspension, transmissions, radiators and cooling systems, air conditioning, electrical systems, starters and alternators, engine diagnostics and internal engine repair. The shop also helps with flat tires, tire selection and manufacturer-recommended maintenance as an alternative to dealership service, for cars, vans, SUVs and trucks. The shop occupies a spot with a long local history. The original Teddy's Garage began the tradition of trusted local mechanics performing auto repair at this location in 1970, and the name changed to Quality Foreign Car Service in 1982 to reflect the import and foreign car work the shop had become known for. It remains a family-style operation, with each employee treated like family. Current President Wayne Solanskey has been a professional auto mechanic for more than 30 years, and his son Chris Solanskey has been part of the operation since 1988. Ownership has passed from an owner to a former employee across its history, totaling only three owners in the past 40 years. The shop is staffed by Master State and ASE certified technicians and uses advanced diagnostic equipment, and it works on the foreign and import cars of the Detroit area.

Quality Foreign Car Service is located at 3282 Coolidge Hwy in Berkley, Michigan. It is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Its rating of 4.80 across 114 customer reviews reflects how it is regarded by the people who bring their vehicles there, and more than four decades of continuous operation at the same Coolidge Hwy location have made it a familiar name for import and foreign car owners in Berkley and the neighboring Detroit-area communities.
