CameraMall

CameraMall is a Security Camera Installer in Ann Arbor, MI. The store carries a 4.90 rating from the customers who have reviewed it.

The business began in 2011 as an internet venture selling through Amazon, started by Desmond Kolean-Burley as a summer job while he was attending the University of Michigan. After graduating, he opened a storefront in Ann Arbor for the growing online business. CameraMall has since moved away from Amazon selling and now runs its own online store. The store focuses on photo archiving alongside a curated selection of modern gear for today's photographers, and it operates as an authorized dealer whose staff receive training from brand partners. Employees also work as shooters and advise customers from first-hand experience. CameraMall offers trade-in and used gear pricing and matches the prices of larger online companies.

Photo services include scanning of old photos, artwork, and keepsakes, with quick-scan options and flatbed scanning for fragile or thick items, plus large reproductions scanned in sections and stitched together. Restoration work covers repairing cracks and creases and combining multiple photos, and prints can be ordered on glossy, matte, canvas, Hahnemuhle fine art baryta, Hahnemuhle William Turner, metallic, true black and white, or sepia paper. Transfer services move VHS, HI8, and Mini DV tapes to digital files, along with reel-to-reel transfers, using a frame-by-frame HD capture scanner. Standard turnaround is about three business days for most printing and scanning, with video transfers typically one week for smaller orders and two to four weeks for larger orders and reels. CameraMall also hosts community events, including a 2026 Photo Mixer at the Detroit Shipping Co.

The store sits on W Stadium Blvd, a short walk from West Liberty Street and about 0.2 miles from Winewood Thaler Park, Blue Heron lake, and Planned Parenthood.

CameraMall pairs its 4.90 rating with more than a decade of serving Ann Arbor photographers, from first-time buyers to seasoned professionals.
