Shooting Stars Program

Shooting Stars Program is a preschool in Scarborough, ME, dedicated to offering programming for preschool aged children of all abilities. The program operates three classrooms that serve different groups of children while bringing them together for mainstreamed activities. One classroom is the public pre-K classroom for Scarborough Public Schools, serving children aged 4-5 who are Scarborough residents, with enrollment managed through a lottery by the school district. The other two classrooms serve children aged 3-5 who have been referred by Child Development Services for Special Education. Her career includes work at a Boston child development center with toddlers and preschoolers alongside an early intervention team, time at The May Center in the Boston area with children ages 3-5 diagnosed with autism and related behavioral disabilities, and creating and implementing a pilot inclusive classroom in Colorado.
