Main Street Music Lessons

Main Street Music Lessons is a music school in Lewiston, ME. The school provides private music lessons across a broad range of instruments and voice, including ukulele, guitar, piano, voice, viola, violin, cello, bass, brass, banjo, mandolin, drum set, percussion, woodwinds, and music theory. In addition to instruction, the business runs a store and a repair shop, offering repair services and sales consulting for both modern and vintage instruments and accessories. Lessons are scheduled by appointment Monday through Friday, with weekend lessons also available by appointment. The retail and repair counter is open Mondays from 10 to 4, Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10 to 5, and Fridays from 11 to 2.

Main Street Music Lessons and Instrument Repair was opened on April 1, 2009 by Steve Grenier and Arthur Melendy, both former teachers at Carroll's Music Center. In early 2019, the school relocated from Main Street to its current location on Dunn Street, and shortly afterward celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a grand opening at the new site. The school works to build lasting relationships with students and customers, holding itself to high standards of personal and professional ethics, and framing music as a lifelong journey of creative exploration, goal-setting, and self-expression.
