Brookeville Beer Farm

Brookeville Beer Farm is a brewery in Rockville, MD, that operates as a Montgomery County farm brewery blending farming and brewing to produce beers and food. The business serves guests at its taproom and outdoor seating area, offering craft beers brewed on a ten-barrel system alongside a kitchen menu built around pizza, salads, and platters made with farm-grown ingredients. The brewery holds a rating of 4.50 based on 1,130 reviews.

The farm operation began in the spring of 2014 in the fields behind the brewhouse, starting with a hop yard and patches of red raspberries and shiitake mushrooms. Over the following year the farm expanded with a second, larger hop yard, blueberry and blackberry bushes, and honey-producing beehives. Today the property includes planters growing tomatoes, mint, spices, peppers, and other fresh vegetables used directly in the kitchen, along with a hive body system producing Beer Farm honey. Spent grain from the brewing process is composted to enrich the farmland.

The brewery itself features a ten-barrel brewing system, four bright tanks, and eight fermenters. Adjacent to it, the taproom provides indoor seating with wood beams, a handcrafted oak bar, and a pizza oven, with additional picnic-table seating outdoors. The kitchen is led by Chef Jay and a crew that prepares the food menu, while Kenny Borkmann serves as head brewer and general manager. The taproom is family- and dog-friendly, offers to-go beer sales, and accommodates private events such as birthday parties and corporate outings, coordinated through Taproom Manager Angel. Hours run Monday through Thursday from 12:00 to 9:00, Friday from 12:00 to 10:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 10:00, and Sunday from 11:00 to 9:00. The property offers plenty of parking.

Located on Georgia Avenue in Brookeville, the Beer Farm continues the small town's tradition of hospitality by welcoming neighbors to enjoy house-brewed beer and homemade pizza in a community setting rooted in its own farmland.
