Kaufmann Jewelers of Potomac is a jewelry store in Potomac, MD. The boutique is family owned and family operated, established in 1947 and now in its third generation of creating, buying, and selling jewelry in the DC area. George and Corey Kaufmann bring a combination of quality work and customer service to the jewelry industry, offering an upscale shopping experience with high-end custom pieces while preserving a handshake generation, family-business mentality. George was born and raised in Chevy Chase, Maryland by his parents Herbert and Rose Kaufmann, both Holocaust survivors, and he has over 40 years in the jewelry business, dating back to working for his father at the original Kaufmann Jewelers in the 1960s. He began goldsmithing in his twenties and went into a partnership to create Kaufmann Naranjo Jewelers. After more than thirty years running jewelry stores in the District of Columbia, he partnered with childhood friend Robert Rosin to start Robert Bernard Jewelers in Potomac, where they had more than ten years of success. Today George runs Kaufmann Jewelers with his son Corey. The shop has been recognized in Best of Bethesda 2017 for Best New Store and Best Place to Buy an Engagement Ring, and in Best of Bethesda 2018 for Best Place to Buy an Engagement Ring.
