Hamby Tree Experts is a family owned and operated company with more than 50 years of experience serving Maryland since 1965. It is a second generation family business, run by two brothers as co-owners and operators, and traces its start to their father, Vernon McKinley Hamby, roughly 60 years ago. The company's approach includes meeting with homeowners on their property to plan a tree removal that creates a healthy landscape and removes hazards to the property and family. It assesses each job, works to avoid damaging the landscape, and leaves the area clear of debris. Crews use a 110 foot crane, a Bobcat T870, and a knuckle boom log truck, and the company also handles insurance work. It states that it does not ask for a down payment and accepts no payment until a job is finished.

Hamby Tree Experts is also a buyer of standing timber, which it describes as unique among full tree service companies in Maryland. It serves Baltimore County, Carroll County, Harford County, and Howard County.

The business holds a rating of 4.80 from the customers who have reviewed it, who describe the company as family owned and operated, professional, and thorough in hauling away debris and cleaning up the property.
