Holland Custom Designs is a Washington DC-based studio known for richly layered interiors that balance mood, memory, and timeless detail. The work blends classical silhouettes with color-drenched palettes, often integrating the quiet presence of heirloom pieces to create layered spaces that reflect both past and present. Monique brings a background in fashion, a former life in corporate, and a design lineage shaped by three generations of seamstresses to every room she designs. The studio's approach centers on biophilic design, universal design, and aging-in-place principles, crafting spaces intended to be beautiful, functional, and accessible for people of all ages and abilities. Clients value Monique's honesty, professionalism, and ability to listen, and her design philosophy pairs classic beauty with modern comfort so that finished spaces feel both luxurious and livable. The virtual design package gives homeowners outside the area access to the same trusted vendors and high-quality furnishings used on full-service projects, with floor plans, curated mood boards, shopping lists, step-by-step guidance, and the option of 3D renderings. Projects begin with a consultation call and a detailed design questionnaire, and Monique travels for an in-person Design Day session with out-of-state clients.

The studio is located on Oxon Hill Road and holds a five-star rating from the customers who have reviewed it, a mark earned across more than two decades of residential and commercial work in the DC region. That longevity, combined with credentials held by few other local designers, anchors Holland Custom Designs as a steady presence in the capital area's design community.
