4M Pools was founded by Charlie Schindler, a lifelong Maryland resident with more than 10 years of experience in the pool industry. He began working with pools as a lifeguard at 16, swam competitively from age four through college, and earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Widener University before launching the company. That engineering background shapes how the business approaches pool care, with attention to water chemistry and equipment. The team includes a Certified Pool Operator through the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance. The company is locally owned and operated and holds MHIC #140643.

Its weekly service is built around the conditions pools in Anne Arundel County face, including summer humidity, heavy pollen, seasonal storms, and temperature swings that affect water chemistry. Unbalanced water can cloud a pool, feed algae, and over time etch plaster, stain surfaces, and strain pumps, filters, and heaters. Regular weekly service keeps water balanced, monitors the system, and catches small issues early. For pool openings, the company includes a free pre-season check covering water testing, chemical treatment, and inspection of pool equipment.

The business is located on Ventnor Rd in New Carrollton.

Its rating of 4.90 reflects a strong record with the customers who have reviewed it, and the company has built its reputation in Anne Arundel County on more than a decade of pool industry experience and a mechanical engineering background that informs its approach to water chemistry and equipment.
