1-800-Pack-Rat of Glen Burnie is a moving company in Glen Burnie, Maryland, providing portable storage containers for local and long-distance moving. The company holds a rating of 4.60 from the customers who have reviewed it.

The company's containers are all-steel, weatherproof, and portable, designed to keep items safe and secure during a move or while in storage. The idea behind the system began in 2001, when a North Carolina entrepreneur sketched a portable storage container design that was jokingly called a "pack rat" for its ability to store everything. Working with an experienced heavy-equipment manufacturer, that design became a system capable of lifting a fully loaded container without swaying or shifting and setting it down anywhere a truck can go. The first three locations opened in North Carolina in 2003, and within two years the company had grown to more than 50 locations nationwide. That national network of storage facilities allowed it to broaden into long-distance moving. In 2018 the company merged with Zippy Shell Incorporated, and it has since invested in new container assets, additional locations, and customer service initiatives.

The Glen Burnie location sits on Wilson Road, about a tenth of a mile from Dorsey Road and a third of a mile from Sawmill Creek. Aviation Boulevard is roughly four tenths of a mile away, as is the Paul T. Pitcher Memorial Highway, and the Maryland State Police Barrack P is about half a mile from the site. Quarterfield Crossing, a nature preserve, is about seven tenths of a mile away.

Customers rate the business 4.60, reflecting a positive rating from those who have reviewed it.

For Glen Burnie households planning a move or needing storage during a renovation, the location offers portable container service backed by a national network and a strong customer rating.
