He graduated from Mount Saint Mary's University, earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed a traditional rotating internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and served on active duty in the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Surgeon, including service as a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. He completed dermatology residency at the Lehigh Valley Health Network, where he served as Chief Dermatology Resident, and his training spans surgical, cosmetic, and general dermatology.
