Katie Carlin founded the firm in 2020, drawing on more than fifteen years of experience in high-end residential design. Her background in high-end residential interior design, custom interior architecture, and construction administration informs her work, and she is skilled in guiding clients through the selection of every detail, from fixtures and hardware to furniture and custom window treatments. Her work has been featured in publications including Home & Design, Chesapeake Living, and Annapolis Home. A native of the Eastern Shore, she lives in Annapolis with her husband and three children.

The studio's most comprehensive service is for clients building new or fully renovating a home, guiding them from the earliest design ideas through construction. Working closely with contractors and trades, the team creates floor plans, selects each finish and fixture, and oversees the details of architecturally thoughtful spaces. For clients who want to refresh and elevate a home without structural changes, projects often include furnishing several rooms along with updated lighting, window treatments, hardware selections, and wall coverings. Design working sessions offer in-person, one-on-one recommendations in real time, so clients can ask a range of questions and leave with the tools and guidance to execute their vision. Katie and her team also provide interior design, pre-construction, and construction consulting services, collaborating directly with architects and builders or working behind the scenes on construction projects.

The studio sits on Spa Rd in Arnold, Maryland.

Katie Carlin Interiors is known for a collaborative approach with architects and builders, and its 5.00 rating reflects the experience of the customers who have reviewed it. In Arnold and across the Annapolis area, that combination of construction knowledge and detailed residential design is what the firm brings to each home.
