Davy Dance Academy is a dance studio in Arnold, MD, located at 1358 Cape St Claire Rd. The family-run business specializes in developing performance artists who have solid technique, a passion for dance, and a strong sense of commitment to their craft. The studio serves dancers of all levels, offering both a competitive track and non-competitive curriculum-based programs. Whether a student is aiming for a dance-based college scholarship or seeking a fun recreational activity, the academy provides a nurturing environment to build confidence and leadership skills. Classes are offered in a variety of styles, including traditional disciplines and Irish dance. Students have opportunities to perform at community events, regional dance competitions, and dance conventions, culminating in annual recitals held in June.

The academy provides specialized instruction for different age groups, from preschool through pre-professional levels. Preschool classes use the Twinkle Star Dance Method and Acrobatic Arts to emphasize classroom etiquette, gross motor skills, and beginning technique. Combo classes allow young dancers to explore multiple styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Acro, while preparing for intermediate or single-discipline tracks. Programs for students ages 6 to 11 focus on foundational skills through age-appropriate instruction, with annual assessments provided to parents in the spring. The pre-teen and teen program serves intermediate dancers dedicated to strengthening their technique, with placement based on skill level and work ethic. Pre-professional classes for students ages 15 to 18 emphasize the foundation of dance skills in a challenging yet fun format. To track progress, dancers receive annual report cards and quarterly skills checks.
