Angel Rosebeads

Angel Rosebeads is a jewelry store in Whitman, Massachusetts, located at 542 Washington St. The shop creates keepsake jewelry from dried roses of any color, hand rolling each Rosebead into a unique piece meant to honor a special occasion. Angel Rosebeads is the original product line, made only with roses, and most pieces are round beads, though some are flat. A separate line, Floating Flowers, uses flowers other than roses, with petals arranged in a mosaic pattern set in flat resin; hydrangea, sunflower, statice, carnations, delphinium, gerbera daisies, and iris are among the flowers that hold their color well for this work. Stained glass angels, butterflies, and candle cubes are handmade, and the glass canister can hold flower pieces, sand, or small shells. Hand carved, wood burned, and painted trays, lazy Susans, wall hangings, and figures are made by Don Johnson. Dried Flower Cubes use all flowers and are best made from fresh service, wedding, or event flowers. The shop is open Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 5 and select Saturdays from 10 to 2, with no appointment necessary, and roses may be dropped off during those hours or mailed in. Roughly one large rose yields 8 to 12 beads for a full beaded bracelet or a single decade, and six large roses of the same color make a 59-bead rosary. Beads are rolled in the morning before guests arrive in the afternoon, and extra beads are rolled and stored with each order. The store sits on Washington St, about a tenth of a mile from Temple Street, Whitman Fire-Rescue, the Whitman Public Library, and Whitman Town Hall, and about two tenths of a mile from the Whitman Post Office and the Ted Drysdale Memorial Bench. Angel Rosebeads holds a 5.00 rating from the customers who have reviewed it, a reflection of the care that goes into every hand-rolled rose keepsake in Whitman.
