Owner Dick Malone founded the company in 1978 and continues to run it. Malone Fence Company operates as a self-contained shop, keeping the entire fence process under one roof, including its installation specialists, and manages each job from shop to installation. All residential and commercial wood fences are built from 100 percent Grade 1 northern white cedar milled from Mount Katahdin in Maine, western red cedar, or pressure-treated pine, available stained or with a rustic wood grain finish, with custom-designed wood accent pieces. Vinyl fencing is constructed from polyvinyl compounds and carries a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship or materials and against peeling, splitting, flaking, or blistering of the finish. Ornamental aluminum fences are made from an aluminum alloy rated as strong as steel and powder-coated, carrying a full lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. Ornamental iron fences are made of galvanized steel and go through an 11-step powder-coating process to resist rust and corrosion. Every job is backed by a two-year guarantee on all materials and workmanship. Showroom visits are by appointment.

The company is located at 471 Highland Avenue, just off Highland Avenue itself. Western Avenue runs about 0.3 miles away. Harold A. King Town Forest is about half a mile from the location, and Floating Bridge Pond, nearby conservation land, and Floating Bridge Park all sit roughly 0.6 miles away.
