Classes serve a wide age range, with summer offerings that include Tiny Tots sessions for ages 2 to 5, summer workshops for ages 5 to 8, summer intensives for ages 6 to 18, and adult drop-in classes. The studio operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, meaning every dollar goes back into the studio to fund teachers, classes, recital and performance opportunities, studio maintenance, and community programs. That tax-exempt status allows the center to accept tax-deductible donations, which helps keep class costs lower for families and expand programming. A volunteer board of directors runs the organization and includes Heather as President handling bookkeeping and daily operations, Kelly as Clerk managing social media and policies, Kristin as Treasurer overseeing tax reporting and financial compliance, Sandy as Artistic Director shaping the creative vision and serving as primary instructor, Niki as Performance Director handling competition, costume, and performance logistics, and Josh overseeing the facility, renovation, and regulatory compliance. The community helped bring the dance space to life, with support from local backers including Sweeney Drywall, EG Sawyer, Berlin Steel, Batallas Electric, Micron, David Bilotta, the City of Fitchburg, BG Flooring, and the Leclerc Charity Fund.

The studio sits on Main Street, immediately next to Lunenburg Town Hall and just steps from Massachusetts Avenue. The Lunenburg Post Office, United Parish Lunenburg House, and the Lunenburg Adult Activity Center are all within a short walk, and Lancaster Avenue runs nearby.

As a non-profit dance studio in Lunenburg, Shining Starz channels community support directly into accessible classes and performance opportunities for dancers of every age and background.
