Naked Dog Training of Lawrence

Naked Dog Training of Lawrence is a dog training business in Lawrence, MA, located at 202 Tyler St Building 5. It holds a rating of 4.90 based on customer reviews. The company is owned by John Whittaker, who created the Naked Dog Training system after committing to a career in dog training at age 16. Whittaker spent years traveling the world to work with and learn from various masters, adding his own contributions to their life’s work. He has trained staff to implement this unique approach, ensuring consistent outcomes for clients.

The business specializes in addressing dog aggression, noting that aggression almost always increases in intensity and frequency over time and can transition into other types of aggression. They emphasize that liability does not require a dog to bite another person or dog; owners must be able to control their dogs when needed. The business highlights a 1.5 million lawsuit won by a local Andover, MA, dog owner for a fall sustained when a neighbor's dog ran into the street without contact. They urge owners to address aggression immediately and offer a free evaluation, with two same-day appointments available every day for urgent needs.

Services include board and train programs, which provide an uninterrupted opportunity to create long-lasting change, and day school programs that allow dogs to learn without being away from their owners at night. The business also works with rescue dogs, acknowledging that every dog arrives with a backstory of past experiences and learned behaviors. Their goal is to guide these dogs toward more resourceful ways of responding, better manners, greater confidence, and a calmer, more balanced way of navigating the world.

The training focuses on achieving impeccable manners and complete off-leash control, which is essential for a dog's life both in public and at home. Specialties include aggressive dog training, also known as reactive dog training, covering aggression towards strangers, family members, other dogs, resource guarding, and other behaviors. Clients can contact the business at 978-387-8377 for free phone consultations at any time, with no obligation. They also offer free in-person evaluations to help owners understand their dog's needs and determine appropriate training solutions.
