Center Path Counseling is a mental health counseling practice in Holliston, Massachusetts. Clinical training was completed in community mental health clinics, hospitals, residential programs, and addiction treatment centers for teens and young adults. After a pre-doctoral internship, Torkelson moved to Massachusetts and spent nine years treating adolescents and families at a residential treatment facility. Torkelson has led crisis management and effective communication trainings and teaches those skills to parents and caregivers. The practice draws on evidence-based models to build rapport, understand problems, and collaborate with clients, with a stated emphasis on a safe and strong therapeutic alliance and interventions tailored to each client.
