Concord Integrated Preschool

Concord Integrated Preschool is a preschool in Concord, MA, located at 120 Meriam Rd. The program is specially designed to give preschoolers with learning disabilities and their community peers a positive first school experience, working toward kindergarten readiness by fostering independence, self-confidence, and curiosity. Enrollment is open to Concord residents along with children of CPS and CCHS staff. The school holds a rating of 5.00 based on customer reviews.

The preschool was established to serve children aged 3 to 5 and runs under an integrated model that brings together children with special needs and typically developing peers in the same classroom. This structure allows students with special needs to receive specialized services while interacting with their classmates in a general education setting, an approach the school credits with building empathy, social interaction, and collaborative learning among all students. Specialized staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and therapists, work together to meet the educational, social, and developmental needs of every child. The curriculum covers social-emotional development, early literacy and numeracy, and fine and gross motor skill development, with a focus on language development, social skills, play, and kindergarten readiness. Sessions run Monday through Thursday, with mornings from 9:00 to 11:30, afternoons from 12:30 to 3:00, and a full-day option from 9:00 to 3:00. The preschool follows the Concord Public School calendar for vacations, holidays, snow days, and professional development days.

The school sits on Meriam Road, about 0.2 miles from Concord Public Schools and roughly 0.3 miles from Gowings Swamp, with the Granite Post Estates Conservation Restriction and Peter Spring Farm Conservation Restriction both within about three-quarters of a mile. Bedford Street is approximately half a mile away.

The 5.00 rating reflects the experiences of the families and community members who have reviewed the program, an outcome consistent with the integrated classroom model the school has built for Concord-area preschoolers.
