Artisan Childcare Center Cambridge

Artisan Childcare Center Cambridge is a daycare in Boston, MA, located at 153 Alewife Brook Parkway. It provides early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The program blends play-based learning with advanced academics and STEAM-based discovery. Daily professional music lessons are a core component, starting with movement classes for infants and toddlers and progressing to small-group piano and violin lessons for children around age three. The curriculum also includes hands-on gardening, where children care for plants from seed to harvest to learn about soil, composting, and pollinators.

The center was founded by Gus Miragias, a jazz saxophonist with a master's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. Artisan began in 2000 as a small music studio and grew into a network of five arts centers and 32 after-school music programs throughout greater Boston. The first childcare location opened in Woburn in 2009. The Cambridge campus is part of a network that also includes locations in Newton at 2330 Washington Street, Weston at 161 Boston Post Road, and Woburn at 237 Winn Street. The environment is designed to feel warm, open, and calming rather than institutional.

Admissions begin with an exploration of the community and scheduling a private tour. Families submit an application, and placement is offered based on availability. The center operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Main phone is 617.916.0373 and fax is 781.933.9009. Tuition rates vary by location, age group, and schedule, with clear all-inclusive pricing.

Artisan Childcare Center Cambridge integrates music, nature, and joyful learning to nurture confidence and creativity. The specialized early childhood setting offers a family-centered environment where children develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
