Global Montessori School

Global Montessori School is a preschool in Belmont, MA, built upon the educational methods and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. The school serves young children through a prepared classroom environment organized around Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Geography, Art, and Science, with activities designed to connect the hand directly to the child's development. The classroom is non-sectarian and structured to foster independence, security, understanding, and consistency, while also planting the spiritual roots of love and inner peace within the classroom community.

The school is led by Director Sahar Dahdouh, who holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture and Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Her path into Montessori education began when she enrolled her own two children in a Montessori school and observed the impact of the method firsthand. She went on to become a Montessori lead teacher and founded her first school in Burlington in 2006. After eleven years of teaching several hundred children and seeing growing demand for Montessori education, she opened the Belmont center in September 2016.
